The Metlakatla Indian Community on Annette Island in Alaska has decided to change their local time to be in sync with Alaska Standard Time, starting at 02:00 on 20 January, 2019.

Annette Island will observe UTC -9 permanently until further notice.

The previous time zone change for Annette Island came only ten weeks ago.
